Every so often I like to throw out a question to my fellow bloggers and social media enthusiasts on Twitter and get their insight. Not only does it spark ideas for blog posts, but it also is a great way to start a conversation and get to know others.
A few weeks ago, I aked this question:
What one tip about blogging would you give to newer bloggers?
Here are some of the answers I received:
@maricrisg: Let your passion drive you to success. #conferencenewbie
@mom2EMS: Don’t apologize for missing a day or two… It’s ok to have a life AND a blog.
@EnchantingHavoc: Stay true to yourself & always blog like have 1 million readers even if u only have 2
@mom0f3boys3702: stay away from it!! It is ADDICTING!
@unxpctdblessing: Don’t give up if your readers don’t appear instantly. It takes time to grow an audience.
@mommyofamonster: Write for yourself, not what you think others want to read.
I love all of these tips because they speak the truth! Blogging can suck you in, especially if you’re gaining momentum quickly, but it’s so important to remember what your purpose is and to maintain some balance. It’s easy to forget that sometimes though, that’s for sure.
What tips would YOU offer newer bloggers to help them navigate the bloghood?
