I’m sure you’re all aware of the Type-A Mom Conference.
So what makes this conference a must-attend? Type-A Mom is a unique conference that covers blogging topics such as finding your voice, utilizing social networking, increasing traffic and readership, branding, monetizing, working with brands, and discussing current relevant topics in the blogosphere. The popular “Speed Dating” networking session, Mom Market which showcases mom-made products, and the Blogger Town Hall Meeting are also hallmark features that will be present this year. Also new this year is the additional Friday sessions focusing on passions, practicalities, dad bloggers, and tribes (i.e. niches).
You’ve most likely seen the tweets announcing that all the details have been set for this conference, which takes place September 24-26th in Asheville, NC.
And you’ve probably also had the thought, “I really want to go, but how can I afford it?”
If this sounds like you, then you’ll be glad you came to visit Blog Conference Newbie today! I’m going to tell you about a couple of ways that you can save BIG on your ticket to the Type-A Mom Conference.
1. Currently, you can purchase your Type-A Mom Conference ticket for a fraction of the cost. Instead of paying $249, you’ll pay $149…saving you $100! But this Super Early Bird rate is only valid through 4/23, so act quickly. At the time this post was published, there were only 52 tickets left at this rate! (I even got mine yesterday to make sure I take advantage of the savings!).
2. Win a ticket! Another option is to enter to win a ticket to the Type-A Mom Conference. That’s right; Blog Conference Newbie is giving one lucky reader a conference ticket to help you make it to this fabulous conference. You all have been so supportive of this site that it’s time to give back and help you out!
So how do you win this ticket?
Here are the various ways you can enter. Use one or all entry methods, but you must leave a comment for EACH entry to count.
- Subscribe to Blog Conference Newbie by RSS, email, or Google Friend Connect (email subscription must be activated).
Mandatory entry (1 entry) - Comment here briefly stating why you’re a Type-A Mom and how you can benefit from this conference. Creativity encouraged!

And of course, with any contest, there are rules. Here they are:
- Contest begins Monday, March 29th and ends Monday, April 12th at 11:59pm EST.
- Winner is chosen randomly by Random.org
- This conference ticket only covers admission: the afternoon of 9/24 through the evening of 9/26. (This includes cocktail parties.)
- Travel and lodging are not covered and are your responsibility.
- This contest is eligible only for those 18 years and older.
- *Only (1) tweet counts each day, but you can tweet/RT as much as you want!
So there you have it! This contest ends in plenty of time to take advantage of the Super Early Bird Rate that saves you $100…that is, IF there are any left at that rate! I’ve watched these tickets go like chocolate chip hot cakes with whip cream on top!
Good luck to everyone!

I’m a type A mom because I’m not type B or C even my blood is type A! LOL. Kidding aside, I’m a Type A mom because I defy the norm and I’m always open to new possibilities and welcome challenges that helps me enhance what talents and skills I already have

Just want to say Thank you for doing this! I live about 2 hours away from Asheville but never been to this conference. It would be a great chance to experience a conference right in the “neighborhood”!
@MaricrisG
First of all, I am not a mom but want to go to the conference to find out how to put more zest into my blog. I feel the conference can teach me the do’s and dont’s of blogging.

I want to go to the conference for a few reasons: 1) I want to meet all my blogging, tweeting friends in person (including you!) <—- that is totally not sucking up
2) I want to learn a lot more than I know about blogging and all of the business aspects that go along with it 3) I want a vacation from everyday life for a few days that I can't really afford
Love my family. Love my job. But I don't get much time to not be a working mommy who takes care of my house.
As for the other half of the question, I'm type-a because I work hard, have to do everything to perfection, and push myself to be the best "me" I can be

I need this because I am more Type A about everything in my life than anyone I know (hey, I’m already checking and freaking out that my comment about following you isn’t showing up), but the blogging thing? Yeah, I need help in this area to get properly up to par.

I would love to attend Type-A-Mom because I think Kelby Carr is an invaluable resource and I heard amazing things about last year’s conference! I also love that families are encouraged to come along. That would make it much easier!

I believe I am a Type A Mom because of the way I order everything in my life. Including, but not limited to, my children, my home, my blog, my office, my email…down to the last detail. I like organization and details.
I think a smaller conference might be a great jumpstart for a newbie like me, and I am interested in learning more from the amazing moms out there that are making it work for them.
I’m subscribed by email.
I want to attend Type-A-Mom to connect with other bloggers, and learn how to improve my blog. A smaller conference appeals to me, because it seems like it would allow for more interaction between everyone.
