Niche blogging conferences are popping up left and right. For every topic or specific area of blogging, there is a conference geared towards it.
For the travel bloggers (or those who enjoy talking travel), The Travel Bloggers Show is your conference! Held in Orlando on September 11-12th as part of The Trade Show: Travel Retail and Destination Expo, this conference will mix the fun of Orlando with fabulous educational sessions.
Laura Gajewski provided these answers to share more insight about the conference in this conference coordinator interview:
What makes this conference unique?
This is the first travel blogger show to be hosted by the travel industry. It is held in conjunction with THETRADESHOW, North America’s #1 travel and retail destination expo. The 2-day event will bring together travel bloggers from across the world to network and learn from one another. Participants will have the chance to experience some of Orlando’s most popular attractions as well as learn new skills thanks to a dynamic series of targeted educational seminars and panels.
What are some of the highlights or features of this conference?
Top travel experts Chris Elliott, Ed Hasbrouck, Kim Mance, Janice Waugh, Matt Kepnes, Janine Barone and Beth Whitman will be sharing their expertise and what they’ve learned as top bloggers.
Does this conference have different learning tracks or focuses?
No, it is solely about how to be a travel blogger and make your blog better and more interesting. The three seminars are A Top Travel Blogger Shares How He Does It, Working With Travel Marketers and P.R. Agencies, and One Subject, One Blog: Do’s and Don’ts for Niche Blogging.
If you could share your top 3 tips for conference newbies, what would they be?
- Make sure to take advantage of all the conference has to offer. There are usually many extras that are included.
- Meet as many people as you can; the point is to network.
- Explore exhibitors and classes you wouldn’t normally be interested in; this is the best chance to widen your horizons.
How can people find out more information about your conference or contact you for questions?
On Twitter: @trvlbloggershow and #trvlblog10. Contact PR@asta.org or go to THETRADESHOW.org and look in the schedule of events.

I am going and I can’t wait! I plan to start a 2nd blog in October and move all of my travel related posts there. Also as the MomTV state mom of Florida I am looking to network especially with Florida destinations for upcoming MomTV coverage.
This conference is made for you then! Please let us know how the conference was when you return – will shed some insight for others who may want to attend next year. Thanks for the comment and for stopping by the site!
