What makes this conference unique?

There are a number of different food blogger conferences around the world but the International Food Bloggers Conference is unique for its partnership with local chefs. Some of the top chefs from Seattle area restaurants volunteer their time to cook amazing meals throughout the conference.

What are some of the highlights or features of this conference?

The list of conference speakers is amazing. We have Morgan Spurlock, Academy Award Nominee for his documentary Super Size Me, James Oseland, editor-in-chief of Saveur magazine, and Victoria von Biel, Executive Editor of Bon Appétit. In addition, we have sessions ranging from The Art of Recipe Writing to Food Blogging for Specialized Diets to Pitch to Publish.

Does this conference have different learning tracks or focuses?

The speakers are so good we prefer to keep everyone in the same room throughout the conference.

If you could share your top 3 tips for conference newbies, what would they be?

  • First, sign up early! This conference sells out every year.
  • Second, bring your laptop with you as you will encounter a lot of content for your blog.
  • Third, bring your business cards and don’t be shy about meeting as many people as possible. This is what the conference is all about.
