(Un)Experienced Mom

The (Un)Experienced Mom

Besides BlogConferenceNewbie.com, I also have my personal blog, The (Un)Experienced Mom. Here is a bit about that site:

What kinds of things do you blog about?
I think the question should be, “What kinds of things DON’T you blog about?” I blog about whatever comes to my mind or interests me. Motherhood, my kids, entertainment news and other media topics, exercising, bad drivers. There are no limits! So just because this is another mommy blog doesn’t mean it’s ALL about being a mom! Make sure to check out my “Favorite Posts” section for some of my favorite/reader favorite posts (in my sidebar). And my regularly posted Media Chatter posts can be found under the “Archive” link at the top of my blog or in the sidebar under “Categories.”

Why did you create a blog? What is your motto?
Besides the fact that I love to write and I am a social butterfly, I started it to encourage myself and others to accept motherhood for what it is – negative feelings and all. Many of us thought being a mom would come easily and are suprised to find it’s harder than we anticipated (myself included). But feeling that way doesn’t make us bad moms. On the contrary, being honest sets the example for our kids that they should accept all of their feelings. Stress unfortunately is a normal part of life, especially nowadays. So instead of expending energy trying to ignore it, accept it, manage it, and move on so you can embrace the good times. Join me on this journey to a balanced motherhood!

And of course, what doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger, right?

You can read more on how this blog came to be in my “Welcome Post” here.

Do you conduct product reviews and giveaways on your blog?
Yes I do. As a Social Media Mom Influencer, I enjoy informing others about products they should know about. Many of the products I love are ones I found after someone suggested I use them, and therefore, word-of-mouth marketing can be a powerful tool.
